We are breaking ground on many new projects over the next year. These developments will allow us to build a future for even more families in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties.
In partnership with the Bolinas Community Land Trust, construction is complete on the first two of four homes in Bolinas, where two new homeowner families have moved in. Work on the final two homes on Aspen Road began in November 2023.
We are in the planning stages of our largest 100% affordable homeownership development to date. Located in Novato, this development will be on 13-acres and feature 80-beautiful homes, all surrounded by rolling hills and lovely open space on a transportation-adjacent property. Currently, we’re finalizing construction drawings and fire safety mitigations for the site.
In conjunction with The Sobrato Organization, we are planning to build 18 affordable townhomes, as part of a larger development of 432 dwelling units. In Menlo Park the median household income (in 2021 dollars) is approximately $179,913, with the average home price at over $2 million. These proposed Habitat GSF townhomes offer a much needed opportunity for local families to access homeownership in an incredibly high cost of living area.
