We are delighted to welcome Felix AuYeung as Chief Real Estate Officer at Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. AuYeung will oversee site acquisition, development, construction and home preservation initiatives while stewarding partnerships with public agencies, developers and community stakeholders.

Construction is underway on eight permanently affordable townhomes at 31 Wharf Road in downtown Bolinas. The project will provide much-needed homeownership opportunities for low-income, first-time homebuyer families.

The $9.6 million grant from CalHome will support the development and preservation of affordable homes in San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo counties. The award comes at a critical moment, as CalHome funding was not included in the Governor’s January 2026–27 state budget proposal, placing the future of California’s only state-wide affordable homeownership program at risk.

We are thrilled to announce Laurel Landing, a new project bringing much-needed affordable homeownership opportunities to Belle Haven, a historically underserved neighborhood in Menlo Park. Last month, we hosted a neighborhood meeting to introduce the project to local residents and invite feedback and participation as part of a collaborative effort to strengthen community together.

A believer in in the life-changing power of stable housing in thriving communities, she brings with her decades of experience in housing and homelessness in Marin and the North Bay.

Despite broad support for the historically successful CalHome Program from Legislators, nonprofit housing developers, and local governments, the 2025 Budget Act provides zero dollars to CalHome.

Alongside Bolinas Community Land Trust, we hosted a special gathering on September 14 to welcome two local families and their young children into their new homes in Bolinas.
