Wilds will guide the organization’s next phase of growth as it advances the largest affordable homeownership development in its 37-year history.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (August 12, 2026) – Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco (Habitat Greater San Francisco) today announced that Jen Wilds, the organization’s current Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, will become its next Chief Executive Officer and President, effective October 1, 2026.
Wilds takes the helm as Habitat Greater San Francisco advances an ambitious pipeline of affordable homeownership projects across Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo counties. That pipeline includes a project on Redwood Boulevard in Novato, a planned community of 50 permanently affordable single-family homes for more than 200 low-income residents. When completed, it will be the largest affordable homeownership development in Habitat Greater San Francisco’s 37-year history and Marin County’s largest 100 percent affordable homeownership development.
Wilds brings a deep understanding of both the organization and the complex work required to expand affordable homeownership in the Bay Area – one of the most expensive housing markets in the nation. She first became involved with Habitat Greater San Francisco as a Board member in 2007 and served on the transition committee during its merger with Peninsula Habitat for Humanity. She remained on the Board through 2013 and officially joined the team in 2016. She has served as CFO since October 2016 and CFO/COO since October 2025, overseeing finance, operations and strategic planning.

Over the course of her tenure, Wilds has held leadership responsibilities across nearly every part of the organization, including real estate development and homeowner and community engagement. Her experience has given her firsthand knowledge of Habitat projects from their earliest planning stages through development, sale and the moment families receive the keys to their homes.

Wilds will succeed Maureen Sedonaen, who has led Habitat Greater San Francisco since August 2016. During her decade as CEO, Sedonaen expanded the organization’s work across new construction, housing advocacy and critical home repairs while helping establish its current growth-focused strategic plan and advance the projects now moving forward. Sedonaen and Wilds will work closely together throughout the transition.

Leading Habitat Greater San Francisco has been one of the great honors of my life.
