Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco was founded over 30 years ago by Stephen Jacoby, an airline pilot who was encouraged to start a San Francisco affiliate by former first lady Rosalynn Carter.
Our affiliate founder, Stephen Jacoby, was determined to found an inclusive affiliate that honored all faiths and welcomed all people regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation.
We are incredibly proud of the origins of Habitat Greater San Francisco and honor the tremendous vision and determination of our founder with our annual Stephen Jacoby Memorial Build with Pride. This annual event is a special opportunity to partner with the community, and we hope you will join us.
Join us for a celebration of our LGBTQIA+ community members and their leadership in creating a more equitable Bay Area. In honor of our core values, Habitat GSF welcomes everyone to celebrate the strides made by our LGBTQIA+ and allied community members to make the dream of homeownership a reality for low-income families!
During Pride Month, demonstrate your commitment to your community through an event sponsorship and mobilize your employees with a volunteer build day. Download our sponsorship packet our contact our team to learn more.
