SAN FRANCISCO CA (November 2025) – Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco (Habitat Greater San Francisco) has received a $85,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation to repair four homes in Marin and San Mateo counties.
The grant supporting Habitat Greater San Francisco will help make repairs to four homes in Marin and San Mateo counties. Through our Home Preservation Program, we make critical repairs to homes that address safety, accessibility, and health for the homeowners. These four homes will have critical repairs made that include roof replacement, kitchen repairs, bathroom repairs and floor replacement.

Since 2021, the Wells Fargo Foundation philanthropic giving totaled $465,000 to Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. Their generous financial support has been paired with a deep commitment to volunteerism over the years. In January 2026, Wells Fargo volunteers in San Francisco will join Habitat Greater San Francisco to build Adirondack chairs for our Home Preservation Program partner families.

“Our community of supporters is vital to us here at Habitat Greater San Francisco. Wells Fargo continues to be a valued partner in driving for affordable homeownership in the communities in which they work. It will take all of us, volunteers, supporters, and donors, to come together to overcome the housing affordability crisis we are facing in our region. We are immensely grateful to Wells Fargo for their continued support and commitment to helping us preserve and build homeownership for families across the Bay Area,” said Maureen Sedonaen, Chief Executive Officer at Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco.
At least one in five households in California spend over half of their income on housing and over 230,000 low-income renters can’t access an affordable home. This generous grant from Wells Fargo will help us sustain homeownership for four households in our service region, avoiding displacement of families who have contributed to our region and their communities.
This philanthropic funding is part of the $4.6 million through the 2025 Wells Fargo Builds program to support new home construction, renovation and repair to benefit more than 200 families in more than 130 communities across the U.S.
