The Playhouse-Build-at-Home Program with Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is a unique opportunity to support Habitat alongside your family and neighbors building a playhouse in the comfort of your own backyard.

After launching in 2020, we are pleased to be offering this program again for a second year, bringing families together for a summertime activity that directly helps move our mission forward. All funds raised through the program support our mission to build affordable homes and sustain homeownership. Join the other families in your community who have built a playhouse at home, and gotten hands on, to help give others a hand up.

So, how does it all work?

Email us at and we will follow up with you to discuss the program details. We have a suggested minimum donation of $1,500 per Playhouse.

We'll deliver to your door

Once you sign-up, we’ll arrange a time and place to deliver building materials along with a detailed instruction manual.
