Build with Pride

Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco (HGSF) was founded 30 years ago by Stephen Jacoby, an airline pilot who was encouraged to start a San Francisco affiliate by former first lady Rosalynn Carter.

Stephen was determined to found an inclusive affiliate that honored all faiths and welcomed all people regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation.

We are incredibly proud of the origins of HGSF and honor the tremendous vision and determination of our founder with our annual Stephen Jacoby Memorial Build with Pride. This annual event is a special opportunity to partner with the community, and we hope you will join us.
