One of the biggest opportunities for affordable homebuilding in recent years is in the pipeline for San Francisco
The proposed Balboa Reservoir project is located on the site of a CCSF overflow parking lot, and could provide affordable homes to thousands of our neighbors. The development is located only steps from a wide range of public transit options, and is planned to feature an array of amenities for the wider community such as a new childcare center and a public park.
Many of San Francisco’s leading developers are working together to make this project a reality. Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is part of the team, planning for affordable homes for homeownership.

At 8:31pm on August 11 2020, after a very lengthy debate, San Francisco’s board of supervisors voted to approve this development. Thank you to the many Habitat supporters who have sent emails and spoken in support of the project!
