Created in New York City in 2012, its organizers began with a simple idea: to create one day a year that encouraged people to do good. In the 10 years since its inauguration, Giving Tuesday has grown to the point where it galvanizes donors worldwide to give more than $3 billion.
Habitat’s work is powered by the generosity of our donors and the hard work of our volunteers. We simply couldn’t do what we do without them. And every dollar raised bolsters our mission to build affordable homes and extend the promise of home ownership to working families across our region. That’s why Giving Tuesday is so important.
