Build, acquire, and preserve a consistent number of affordable homeownership units annually.

•  Maintain a geographically balanced project production and acquisition plan.

•  Focus our preservation efforts on significant improvements to owner-occupied housing.

•  Build and finance opportunities in a way that is innovative, cost-efficient, and sustainable, to align with our community’s needs and our mission.

Deliver programs and services that build capacity for successful homeownership while fostering relationships with neighbors, volunteers, and partners to build strong communities.

•  Collaborate with homeowners to design and deliver robust programming to support current homeowners and develop a large pool of prospective homeowners.

• Partner with local organizations to complement and leverage our home preservation work

• Engage with local government and community partners early in a project to create awareness, establish trust and buy-in, and help foster a more welcoming environment for homeowners.

Expand our capacity as a lender to create and sustain affordable long-term
homeownership.

• Scale our existing lending products beyond the Habitat GSF-built portfolio.

• Develop loan products tailored to very low (<50% AMI), low (50-80% AMI) and moderate (80-120% AMI) income homeowners in harmony with Habitat for Humanity International’s covenants and state licensing regulations.

• Evolve selection criteria and underwriting standards to promote financial inclusion while still effectively managing risk.

Be the trusted and influential voice in accelerating affordable homeownership opportunities through increased production, funding and preservation.

• Elevate our voice and the voices of homeowners to advocate for expanded access and production for affordable homeownership.

• Advance policies that streamline and expand housing production and
preservation by reducing barriers to development and funding.

• Champion funding solutions that expand and accelerate opportunities for more affordable homeownership.
