Types of Gifts

Your investment makes it possible for Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco to continue building safe, decent and affordable housing in our community. There are many ways to give:

Cash

Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco accepts donations by check, cashier's check or Visa and Mastercard. Please make your check payable to "Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco." Or, put your gift to work immediately by donating online via our secure server.

Cars for Homes

By donating a car to Habitat's Cars for Homes™ car donation program, you help Habitat Greater San Francisco build houses in partnership with families in need of decent, affordable shelter. It is quick and easy to donate a car, truck, boat, RV, motorcycle, construction equipment or other vehicle - running or not! Plus, your vehicle donation may be eligible for tax deduction purposes if you itemize. (Consult the IRS or your tax adviser for details.) For more assistance, please email gifts@habitatgsf.org.

Matching Gifts

Corporations often match the gifts of their employees-doubling each gift you make. Please refer to our list of companies that offer matching gift programs and check with your employer to request an employee matching gift form. Planned Gifts

Give a gift that will last for generations. Make a planned gift, such as an estate bequest, charitable gift annuities and others to Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. To learn more about your options when establishing a planned gift, click here.

Real Estate and Property

Gifts of land, personal property, a vacation home, or rental property may be made to Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. These types of gifts require careful planning.

Stocks, Mutual Funds or Bonds

Stocks, mutual funds or bonds may be transferred to Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco by your broker.

Celebration and Memorial Gifts

Make a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one. We understand the importance of these gifts and will notify the appropriate person on your behalf, per your request.

Anonymous Gifts

We make every effort to uphold your wishes of anonymity. Simply note your preference to remain anonymous and we will refrain from listing you in our Annual Report and any other publications.
